 Welcome to my Web site!

My name is Dan McLean and I live in Port Glasgow   in  Scotland, I am 34 years old (in each leg) and love to travel. I have visited most countries in Europe and many states in the USA and Brazil. My favourite country in Europe is Slovakia, my favourite state in the USA is Oregon and my favourite country in the Americas is Brazil. 

I started work at the age of 15 working down a coal mine as 4 or 5 generations of McLean's had done before me but wanted to leave the mining industry and see the world. I joined the Royal Air Force and worked in the signals section for 3 years, After being demobbed from the RAF I joined an electronics company installing telephone exchanges all over the London area. I then joined an American computer company called IBM and worked for them for almost 30 years, laterally as a Test Engineer. I retired from IBM about 7 years ago and can now spend more time on my many hobbies, including Ham Radio, Photography, Scottish Dancing, Genealogy and of course travelling and making new friends.
